Day 1:

Upon arrival at either Bologna’s Guglielmo Marconi Airport (BLQ) or Bologna Centrale train station, a private transfer will greet you and take you directly to Hotel Roma, a 4* hotel in the heart of the city Once there, you’ll be able to leave your luggage with the staff and take a moment to refresh from the journey.

Soon after, you’ll meet your expert local guide in the hotel lobby for a half-day walking tour of Bologna’s historic city center. This introduction to the city offers a rich blend of history, architecture, and everyday life. As you stroll through the iconic Piazza Maggiore, admire the Two Towers, explore the medieval streets of the Quadrilatero market, and visit the oldest university in the Western world, you’ll begin to understand why Bologna is known as La Dotta, La Grassa, e La Rossa—the learned, the fat, and the red.

After the tour, you’ll return to your accommodation where a welcome drink awaits. Enjoy a moment of relaxation as you officially settle into your room and get ready for the exciting days ahead.

Day 2: 

After breakfast at the accommodation, your driver will be waiting at 9:00 AM to take you to Maranello, the birthplace of Ferrari. The journey takes just under an hour through the rolling landscape of Emilia-Romagna.

Your experience at the Ferrari Museum begins at 10:00 AM, where you’ll spend an hour exploring the legendary brand’s history, from vintage racing cars to cutting-edge models. The museum offers a rare behind-the-scenes look into the innovation and passion that have defined Ferrari for decades. Following the museum visit, you’ll board a dedicated shuttle for a panoramic tour of the Ferrari factory and Fiorano Test Track. Though the production areas are not open to the public, the shuttle ride offers an exclusive view of the facilities and a deeper appreciation of the world of Italian motorsport excellence.

By midday, your journey continues with a short transfer to an Acetaia, or balsamic vinegar cellar, a family-owned estate just outside Modena, where traditional balsamic vinegar has been crafted for generations. You’ll be guided through the production rooms, learning about the aging process and the strict requirements that make Modenese balsamic vinegar so unique. A guided tasting will follow, allowing you to experience the depth and complexity of this cherished ingredient.

Lunch will be served on the estate, featuring typical Modenese dishes prepared with locally sourced ingredients and, of course, enhanced by their signature vinegar. The atmosphere is rustic and relaxed, providing an authentic taste of the region’s slow food culture.

At approximately 3:00 or 3:30 PM, your driver will return you to your accommodation in Bologna, where you can unwind for the rest of the day at your own pace.

Day 3: 

After a leisurely breakfast, you’ll take a pleasant walk to a renowned Cooking School in the heart of Bologna for an intimate, hands-on cooking class. This experience is designed to connect you deeply with Emilia-Romagna’s culinary heritage. Over the course of two to three hours, a professional chef will guide you in preparing a full traditional meal, teaching you the secrets behind fresh egg pasta, classic sauces, and seasonal specialties.

Once the cooking is done, you’ll sit down and enjoy the fruits of your labor over lunch. It’s a relaxed, convivial meal that celebrates both tradition and creativity, and one that many guests say becomes a favorite memory.

The afternoon is left free for you to explore at your own rhythm. We recommend visiting Galleria Cavour, Bologna’s most elegant shopping destination, home to Italian and international luxury brands. Even if you’re not in the mood to shop, the area is perfect for people-watching, coffee sipping, or simply soaking in the style and charm of Bolognese life.

You’ll return to the accommodation in the evening, with time to relax and reflect on your day.

Day 4: 

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast as you take in your final moments in Bologna. Depending on your departure schedule, you may choose to take a last stroll through the city, visit a local market, or savor a final espresso at a charming café.

When the time comes, your private transfer will ensure a smooth journey back to Bologna Guglielmo Marconi Airport (BLQ) or Bologna Centrale railway station (Bo C.le).
